Hay and Company Consultants (Hayco) is a water resources engineering company of highly-qualified professional engineers and geoscientists. The firm has provided technical expertise and custom engineering solutions in coastal, marine, river and hydraulic engineering, oceanography, hydrology and geomorphology for private and public sector clients, domestically and internationally, since 1984.

 

Hayco is a leader in hydrodynamic numerical modelling for oceanographic and limnological applications. The firm combines expertise in fluid mechanics, field instrumentation and computer modelling to quantitatively measure, analyze and predict oceanographic circulation, tides and waves, sediment transport processes and other complex natural and artificial hydraulic phenomena. Hayco’s primary analytical tool is our proprietary three-dimensional circulation model, H3D; where appropriate, other commercial and public domain modelling systems are used. Our advanced abilities in computer imaging provide clients with powerful graphics and animations to showcase their projects.

 

Hayco also offers hydrologic services including field data collection and analysis, water balance studies, peak and low flow analysis, stormwater modelling, mine water management, small hydro power studies, and dam safety review.

 

Most coastal and watershed studies require measurement of meteorological and oceanographic data. Hayco has knowledge, expertise and experience designing and implementing flexible and robust field programs, for immediate and remote data collection, domestically or internationally.
