Toward Seamless Weather and Climate Earth-system Prediction

Over the last decade, predicting the weather, climate and atmospheric composition has emerged as one of the most important areas of scientific endeavour. This emerging challenge was at the centre of the World Weather Open Science Conference (Montreal, 2014). We will discuss some of the long term goals of this effort and provide examples of Earth-system modelling and prediction from urban scales to global scales.
