Scientific and technical seminar series - Training and Career Development Division (TCDD) of the Meteorological Service of Canada - (available to CMOS members): 
Doug Leonard from the Canadian Ice Services will deliver a talk in French on the topic: La prévision des glaces au Service canadien des glaces.

Abstract

This presentation will discuss  how Canadian Ice Services delivers their products and services. The talk will discuss some of the products and clients we work with, the growth and movement of ice, the current sources of data used by forecasters, the types of models used in operations, how we fit into MSC, some of the challenges with covering the large Canadian domain , and a discussion on the long range forecast program.
